Description of the base version.
Works only if your output is image sequence, with MP4 it do no work.
Description: AST Render Tool is a Blender add-on that makes it easy to render specific frames or full timelines with clear progress feedback. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced artist, AST Render Tool provides a simple way to manage your rendering tasks directly from the 3D View’s sidebar.
Features:
-
Frames To Render:
Enter specific frames or ranges separated by commas (e.g. "10,15,20" or "50-60,100-105"). Only these frames will be rendered. -
Use Entire Timeline:
Enable this to ignore the "Frames To Render" field and render every frame between the scene’s start and end frames. -
Render Frames Button:
Click this button to start the rendering process. Hovering over the button will show a tooltip. -
Statistics Section:
Last Frame Render Time: Shows how long the most recently rendered frame took to finish.
Total Render Time: Displays the total time spent rendering all completed frames (in HH:MM:SS format).
Start Time: The date and time when the rendering process began.
End Time: An estimated completion time for all chosen frames. This updates dynamically as render times become clearer.
Estimated Remaining Time: The add-on calculates and updates the estimated time left for all remaining frames to finish, shown in HH:MM:SS format.
Current Progress: Shows what percentage of the selected frames have been completed. -
Current Status Section:
Preparing for rendering... appears at the start.
When rendering begins, it shows the current frame number and the target samples for that frame (e.g. "Rendering Frame 12" and "Samples target: 128").
After all frames are done, it displays "Rendering finished!". If canceled, it shows "Rendering cancelled!". -
Canceling Rendering:
Press the ESC key at any time during rendering to cancel the process. A note at the bottom of the interface reminds you: "//Press Esc To Cancel Rendering//".
Ideal For:
- Anyone who needs to render specific frames without adjusting the scene’s timeline.
- Users who want more detailed feedback on render progress, timings, and when the job will likely finish.
- Beginners who want a simple, button-driven approach to managing render tasks.
AST Render Tool is designed to be straightforward, so you can focus on creating your art while keeping an eye on rendering progress and times at a glance.
